| dc.description.abstract | The purpose of this research was to find out whether 'Storynory' audiobooks have a significant effect on students' listening skills in the tenth grade of SMA Kartini Batam in the academic 2022/2023 term. The study was conducted at SMA Kartini Batam. The research was conducted on February 09, 2023. The method utilized in this research was the quantitative method using quasi-experimental designs. The research instrument consisted of a test that is divided into two parts, a pre-test and a post-test. To collect the data, the researcher administered 15 multiple-choice questions. The control group consisted of 27 students, whereas the experimental group consisted of 19 students. To analyze the data, the researcher used the Shapiro-Wilk method to perform a normality test. For homogeneity testing the researcher used the Levene Statisctics test and last for hypothesis testing, the researcher used the t-test formula. The hypotheses calculation showed that the t-count was 5.006, while the t-table was 2.101 (5.006 > 2.101 indicating that H0 (Null Hypothesis) was rejected and Ha (Alternative Hypothesis) was accepted.
