| dc.description.abstract | The low learning outcomes of students in history subjects are marked by the failure to achieve the established learning objectives. This indicates that students’ understanding of history material is still at a low level. History lessons, which tend to make students feel bored, along with the use of monotonous teaching methods such as lectures and discussions, and the underutilization of methods like quizzes and puzzles, contribute to student disengagement. This study aims to compare students’ learning outcomes using the snowball throwing method and talking stick method in history lessons at SMA Negeri 25 Batam. The result of the study show that the experimental class (X1), which used the snowball throwing method, achieved better learning outcomes compared to the control class (X4), which used the talking stick method. There is a significant impact of the snowball throwing method on students’ learning outcomes compared to the talking stick method. The snowball throwing method has proven to be more effective in enhancing students’ understanding of the material and their academic achievements. Additionally, the snowball throwing method also increases student engagement and participation during the learning process, contributing to a deeper understanding of the material. | en_US |
