dc.description.abstract The aim of this study was to know the students’ perception about online learning in covid era. It was qualitative research by adopting descriptive analysis. Questionnaire as the instrument was used to collect data; the questionnaire was shared to 31 students’ of SMP Negeri 14 Batam in IX class as the respondents of the research. Results appear, respondents stated that student's perception has a contribution to Online learning at SMP Negeri 14 Batam for the 2022/2023 academic year, to confirm the result, the researcher interviewed by asking several question with students the result is As for students who have negative perceptions, they still try to follow and do their assignments well, by completing all the assignments given by the teacher because if they don't do the assignments they won't get a grade, so this perception does not have a big influence on student learning outcomes. This perception can of course be based on and followed by changing negative thought patterns towards online learning, learning management patterns and so on. it, user is served by several options depends on the discipline en_US
