A system of quality management serves as a method to implementing a program of quality assurance, which should be regarded as a subject of scientific inquiry, particularly in assessing and forecasting the preparedness of educational institutions. This study aims to identify the preparation process for carrying out the Education Quality Assurance System (SPMP) in order to enhance the quality of schools at SMK Negeri 3 Kemaritiman Biak Numfor, Garut Regency. This study applied a qualitative approach using a descriptive analytical method. Data were obtained through observations, interviews, and documentation, and were analyzed through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results indicate that quality planning is implemented through several phases, namely quality mapping via School Self-Evaluation (EDS), preparation of compliance plans, execution of quality assurance, evaluation of quality, and the establishment of standards. These processes enable schools to present an accurate description of their quality. The implementation of education quality assurance is intended to fulfill the eight National Education Standards. |
