| dc.description.abstract | The various problems in the 2024 general election are enough to be noted as well as references for improvement for future general elections, of course this is part of active citizen participation as a form of social control which has been a theory for hundreds of years. The aim of this article is to find out the problems of law enforcement in the 2024 general election in Indonesia. The method used in this paper is normative research using secondary data sources with primary legal materials, general election law and regional elections with qualitative descriptive analysis. This research looks at two main problems, namely the problem of compliance with judicial decisions and also the issue of enforcement of the Gakkumdu election criminal law. Of course, issues related to the compliance of general election organizers can be seen in several decisions such as the Supreme Court and DKPP regarding the cooling off period for ex-convicts as a condition for legislative candidacy and the 30 percent requirement for political parties. This non-compliance resulted in legislative election cases which were resolved by the Constitutional Court. In line with the Constitutional Court's decision which strengthens the sound of the election law is the requirement of 30 percent of political parties in the election. This confirms that the constitutionality of the norms in the election law should be implemented and obeyed by all institutions, especially election organizers. | en_US |
