Pendidikan merupakan proses pembentukan kemampuan dasar yang
menyangkut pola pikir atau intelektual, maupun emosional atau perasaanyang
diarahkan kepada sesama manusia dan pendidikan juga adalah proses pengubahan
sikap seseorang atau kelompok orang dalam usaha mendewasakan manusia melalui
upaya pengajaran dan pelatihan. Secara umum pembelajaran IPS merupakan mata
pelajaran yang memadukan konsep-konsep dasar dari berbagai ilmu social yang
disusun melalui pendekatan pendidikan dan psikologis serta kelayakan dan
kebermaknaan bagi peserta didik dan kehidupannya. IPS Terpadu merupakan mata
pelajaran yang mempelajari kehidupan sosial yang didasarkan pada bahan kajian
Goegrafi, Ekonomi, Sejarah, Antropologi, Sosiologi dan Tata Negara dengan
menampilkan permasalahan sehari-hari masyarakat. Terdapat beberapa masalah
yang dihadapi di masyarakat maupun di dunia pendidikan. |

The lecture method still dominates the Integrated Social Studies learning process, the Social Sciences
teacher still explains the material with student textbooks so that students do not become enthusiastic about
learning at SMP Negeri 35 Batam. The purpose of this study was to explain the increase in student learning
outcomes in Integrated Social Education (IPS) using the Team QuizLearning Method. This type of research
is Classroom Action Research (CAR) using a cycle strategy. each cycle consists of four stages, namely (1)
action planning, (2) action implementation, (3) observation (observation), (4) reflection. Based on the
results of the observational descriptive analysis, the percentage before the pre-cycle of student learning
outcomes was 62.12% in the low category after being given action using the Team Quiz Learning Method
in Cycle I. It increased to 73.98% in the medium category. After carrying out Cycle II, there was an increase
in results of 84.28% in the high category. Thus, the Quiz Team Learning Method can improve student
learning outcomes at SMP Negeri 35 Batam |
