This study aims to determine the various positive and negative politeness strategies used by King&#13;
Charles III in his Inaugural Speech. The researcher tries to analysis the positive and negative&#13;
politeness sides and the objectives of his strategy used in King Charles III’s Inaugural Speech as&#13;
Britain’s prince. The researcher employs the qualitative type with descriptive is to analyze positive and&#13;
negative politeness strategies by King Charles III in his Inaugural speech. The data in this study were&#13;
taken from words, phrases, and sentences contained in the script of King Charles III’s Inaugural&#13;
speech that were validated with YouTube videos of King Charles III’s Inaugural speech on the BBC&#13;
News YouTube Channel. The result showed that there are several positive politeness strategies were&#13;
found in King Charles Inaugural speech, and the dominant positive strategy used is strategy 7, namely&#13;
presuppose/raise/assert common ground. The implementation of politeness methods plays an important&#13;
role in a wide range of situations, particularly in formal occasion. This study provides the reader an&#13;
overview of how politeness strategies are utilized and how context influences the choice of words,&#13;
phrases, and sentences towards the other individual to maintain positive relationships and&#13;
communication with the interlocutors.

The purpose of this research was to find out whether 'Storynory' audiobooks have a significant effect&#13;
on students' listening skills in the tenth grade of SMA Kartini Batam in the academic 2022/2023&#13;
term. The study was conducted at SMA Kartini Batam. The research was conducted on February&#13;
09, 2023. The method utilized in this research was the quantitative method using quasi-experimental&#13;
designs. The research instrument consisted of a test that is divided into two parts, a pre-test and a&#13;
post-test. To collect the data, the researcher administered 15 multiple-choice questions. The control&#13;
group consisted of 27 students, whereas the experimental group consisted of 19 students.&#13;
To analyze the data, the researcher used the Shapiro-Wilk method to perform a normality test. For&#13;
homogeneity testing the researcher used the Levene Statisctics test and last for hypothesis testing,&#13;
the researcher used the t-test formula. The hypotheses calculation showed that the t-count was&#13;
5.006, while the t-table was 2.101 (5.006 &gt; 2.101 indicating that H0 (Null Hypothesis) was rejected&#13;
and Ha (Alternative Hypothesis) was accepted. Therefore, it proved that there was a moderately&#13;
significant effect of using storynory toward listening skills on a tenth grade SMA Kartini Batam In&#13;
Academic Year 2022/2023

The research described objectives of this study were (1) To find out the types of moral values in the Life of&#13;
Pi Movie, (2) To find out the Benefits watching in the Life of Pi Movie.&#13;
The research design of this research was descriptive qualitative. The subject of this research is the movie&#13;
entitled Life of Pi. The data in this research were taken from the movie in Life of Pi movie, where the data is&#13;
obtained from the dialogues and utterance of the characters in the movie that represent moral values. The instrument&#13;
in this research is the researcher herself who collects, analyzes, and observes the data.&#13;
The result showed that Life of Pi movie contained 10 types of moral values based on Linda and Eyre’s&#13;
theory which divides into two groups consisting of value of being and value of giving. Value of being consisted of&#13;
honesty, courage, peaceability, self-reliance and potential, self-discipline and moderation, Fidelity and chasity.&#13;
Meanwhile, value of giving consisted of loyalty and dependability, respect, love, unselfishness and sensitivity,&#13;
kindness and friendliness, and also Justice and mercy. And the most dominant moral value in the movie is the moral&#13;
value of courage. Furthermore, there are 5 out of the benefits watching Life of Pi movie based on Sanjoy Roy (2013)&#13;
There are (1) When we love and respect others, when we work with honesty and when we do only what is right. (2)&#13;
Moral values help in shaping the character and personality of an individual. (3) Moral values are essential for human&#13;
relationships at all the levels of life. (4) Moral values help us differentiate between good and bad, right and wrong.&#13;
(5) Moral values help you in finding out the true purpose of your life.

This study was conducted to identify the translation methods used by the&#13;
translator in translating Webtoon Flawles. It is also aimed to find out the most used&#13;
translation methods in translating Webtoon Flawless from the Indonesian to English.&#13;
The analysis of translation methods in this study is focused on the translation of the&#13;
dialogue sentences in Webtoon Flawless. This study applied qualitative method.&#13;
Qualitative method is applied because the dataof this research are in the form of&#13;
words, phrases, and sentences. The data of this research are taken from Webtoon&#13;
Flawless from the Indonesian original version and its English translation. The data&#13;
were analyzed by comparing the Indonesian and its English translation. The result of&#13;
the study showed that (1) there were 604 data of the dialogues,&#13;
(2) six methods were used to translate Webtoon Flawless into English; these include&#13;
word-for-word translation, literal translation, semantic translation, free translation,&#13;
idiomatic translation, and communicative translation, (3) the most translation&#13;
method used was free translation method
