This objective of the research are to analyze the kind of translation techniques and to find the translation techniques&#13;
that are mostly used by the translator to translate “Inside Out” Movie. This research used descriptive qualitative&#13;
methods in analyzing and describing the translation technique. The analysis of the translation techniques was&#13;
based on the translation techniques of Molina and Albir’s (2002) theory. Based on the analysis, the research&#13;
conducted 69 data and the researcher found twelve out of eighteen types of Molina and Albir’s translation&#13;
techniques used. There are 3 (4%) data using adaptation; 6 (9%) data using amplification; 5 (7%) data using&#13;
borrowing; 1 (1%) data using compensation; 3 (4%) data using established equivalent; 6 (9%) data using&#13;
linguistic compression; 20 (29%) data using literal translation; 2 (3%) data using modulation; 2 (3%) data using&#13;
particularization; 5 (7%) data using reduction; 8 (12%) data using transposition; and 8 (12%) data using&#13;
variation. The researcher found that literal translation is mostly used by the translator to translate “Inside Out”&#13;
Movie. The technique is frequently used because every single word of the source language (SL) is translated&#13;
directly word for word by the translator.

language learning, and boosts confidence in understanding foreign words and expressions.For this study,&#13;
the researcher used a descriptive qualitative research approach. In this research the researcher will&#13;
translate a movie with the title is ‘Despicable me 3’ to analyze the 18 translation techniques used in the&#13;
movie. the researcher analyze there are only 14 translation techniques that used in ‘Despicable me 3’&#13;
movie.

The objectlve of thls study ls to flnd out the types of errors and analyze the most frequent&#13;
error made by the Elghth-grade students of SMP N 57 Batam. For example, the student was&#13;
wrong ln wrltlng the sentence (We dldn’t go there) became (We dldn’t went there).&#13;
The method ln thls study was qualltatlve research. The data collectlng technlque&#13;
was conducted by the test whlch wrltlng 10 sentences ln the form of slmple present tense.&#13;
After gettlng the data, the researcher analyzed the errors uslng the Surface Strategy&#13;
Taxonomy theory (Dulay, et al., 1982, pp. 150-162), whlch were classlfled lnto Omlsslon,&#13;
Addltlon, Mlsformatlon, and Mlsorderlng the data calculated by uslng the formula: P=&#13;
Percentage, F= Frequency of error made, N= Total data analysls of student’s error. The data&#13;
were taken from the grammar test.&#13;
The flndlngs showed the klnds of error ln thls study were dlvlded lnto four&#13;
categorles, they were Omlsslon, Addltlon, Mlsformatlon, and Mlsorderlng. The&#13;
respondents of thls study were 36 students of 8-5 grade students of SMP N 57 Batam. The&#13;
total of errors were 102 errors made by the student. The most frequent error made by the&#13;
student was Mlsformatlon error whlch conslsts of 54 errors or 52,94%. Lt ls followed by&#13;
32 errors of Mlsorderlng or 31,37%, 10 errors or 9,80% of Omlsslon, and 6 errors or 5,88%&#13;
of Addltlon

This study aims to know the effect of the snowball throwing teaching method on the speaking skill of&#13;
eleventh-grade students at SMAN 25 Batam. Conducted from july to august 2024, the research involved 60&#13;
students divided into two groups: an experimental group taught using the snowball throwing method and a&#13;
control group taught using the role-play technique. Each group consisted of 30 students, selected using a simple&#13;
random sampling technique. Data were collected through the speaking tests, pre-tests and post-tests, and the&#13;
results were analyzed using a t-test. To ensure the experimental and control groups were drawn from&#13;
populations with the same variance, a homogeneity test (F-test) was applied. The findings indicated that the tcount value (3.59) was greater than the t-table value (2.048) at 5% significance level with 28 degrees of&#13;
freedom, leading to the acceptance of the alternative hypothesis (Ha) and the rejection of the null hypothesis&#13;
(Ho). These results indicates that the snowball throwing teaching method significantly improved the students'&#13;
speaking skills compared to the role-play technique used in the control group. In conclusion, the snowball&#13;
throwing teaching method proved to be an effective method for enhancing the speaking skill of eleventh-grade&#13;
students at SMAN 25 Batam.
